The Feast of the Resurrection

Easter is the highlight of the Christian year, the great celebration of

renewal and spiritual regeneration. Passage through darkness and

uncertainty, with all the attendant trials and fears, is transformed into

victory and attainment in the golden sunrise of a new day.

For the very Day of Days has dawned whereon the power of death is

shattered for all time, and perpetual light and eternal bliss are secured

for us. This is God’s gift to us from the immeasurable profundity of his

Love, a gift intended from before the foundation of the World: the

opening of the Gates of Eternal Life through the Resurrection of his

Son Jesus Christ!

In his Letter to the Romans, Saint Paul assures us that nothing in the

whole universe will be able to separate us from the Love of God that is

in Christ Jesus our Lord; and this promise of the eternally abiding Love

of God is open to all.

So, my friends, let us rejoice and give thanks; and let us walk in God’s
Light, knowing that nothing can ever come between us and this Living

Love so generously outpoured, so securely embracing.

 Nuestra Pascua
La Pascua resume en sí misma todo el plan de Dios para la
regeneración de la humanidad. El Creador no nos hizo para vivir en la
limitación, el miedo y el error, sino para glorificarlo y gozar para
siempre de su comunión. El propósito de la Providencia es que
despertemos a nuestra verdadera naturaleza espiritual, muriendo a
las obras de las tinieblas, y resucitando con Cristo para vivir de una
forma completamente nueva. Esa es la verdadera Pascua
"Así que echen fuera esa vieja levadura que los corrompe, para que
sean como el pan hecho de masa nueva. Ustedes son, en realidad, como
el pan sin levadura que se come en los días de la Pascua. Porque
Cristo, que es el Cordero de nuestra Pascua, fue muerto en sacrificio
por nosotros. Así que debemos celebrar nuestra Pascua con el pan sin
levadura que es la sinceridad y la verdad, y no con la vieja levadura ni
con la corrupción de la maldad y la perversidad." 1 Corintios 5.7-8
Jesús, nuestro Redentor, enfrentó la oscura noche del Getsemaní, la
traición, el abandono y el desprecio; atravesó la dolorosa cruz del
Calvario, y por la senda de la muerte fue hacia la gloriosa
resurrección del día de Pascua. Cada uno de nosotros es invitado a
contemplar por fe la obra del Salvador, siendo crucificados al mundo,
para que ya no vivamos por nosotros mismos, sino que la vida de
Cristo resplandezca en la nuestra.
"[Cristo] fue entregado a la muerte por nuestros pecados y resucitado
para hacernos justos." Romanos 4.25
Por medio de la fe, cada uno de nosotros debe aspirar a hacer la
misma senda en sí mismo, de lo cual nuestro bautismo es un
permanente memorial de que con Cristo hemos muerto a los deseos
del mundo, con él fuimos juntamente sepultados, y juntamente con él
hemos sido resucitados a una nueva vida. Nuestra Pascua ya fue
sacrificada, ya no vivimos en el temor y la oscuridad del pecado, ahora
tenemos libre acceso al santuario. ¡La vida venció a la muerte para
siempre!
"Hermanos, ahora podemos entrar con toda libertad en el santuario
gracias a la sangre de Jesús, siguiendo el nuevo camino de vida que él
nos abrió a través del velo, es decir, a través de su propio cuerpo."
