1. Walk around the classroom and pick up students’ stuff at random. Have students name them. Write what they say
on the board.

2. Have students read the instructions. Ask them to look at the pictures and the captions so that they get familiar with
the expressions. Play the audio – Track 9. Ask students to listen and repeat.

3. Explain the instructions. Model the activity. Teacher: (pick up a pencil) what’s this? Students: it’s a pencil.
Have students get in pairs and ask and answer questions aboutthe things they have in their backpacks.
