2. How effective were the coaching ● ERG and admin team kept accurate records of
and admin debriefing? the time dates and specifics documented. The
meetings were informative, data shows that
the teachers were more transparent with ERG
coaches rather than the IF and Admin team.
Initially there came the issue of teacher
perception being that this process was a
negative marking against their teacher
evaluation, therefore they viewed it as a
negative. The data allow the admin team to
develop school wide strategies and practices
to support their specific needs.

Summary of Results (Interpretation of Data):

The results show that the ERG Coaching cycles effect increase once teacher saw the process and support and not
punitive. 60% or 3 out of 5 teacher began to trust the ERG and authentic reflection and preparation began. The data
allowed for admin team to make adjustments to scheduling and provide resources to teachers to ensure that they could
apply skill sets.

Walkthrough tools survey and then asked what strategies did
What effect did the practices have on they specifically use most frequent. Data

growth after the ERG coaching cycle.

5
Improve Classroom Management Educators Handbook Data ● One teacher average 12-15 write ups a week
Survey before ERG coaching. Her write decreased to
5-6 per week. Current referrals are related to
issues outside of the classroom not during
instructional time.

● Less referrals are happening during

instructional times
Decisions (Guiding Questions: What do the results mean? What are you going to do now?)

Summary of Results (Interpretation of Data):

The ERG coaching cycles seem to be effective for 3 out of the 5 teachers who participated. The 2 teachers whose
classrooms were not effective were due to consistent absences and unwillingness to try implement the strategies with
fidelity. Overall there has been an increase in teacher capacity and confidence. Classroom management slightly change
but teachers did see the impact or connection of engagement along with behavior.

Next Steps (Action Steps):

1. Continue coaching and professional development on classroom management and relationship building
2. Provide deeper professional development on teaching practices.
