Prior to 8:30 AM worship this weekend, we will be playing a recording of Setting 8’s sung
liturgy from the ELW Hymnal. During Pentecost we will learn the new setting and use it in
worship for a few months. Setting 8 is a bit lighter and the music is easy to learn. The Kyrie
is often sung at the late service, so it may even sound familiar. Enjoy listening!

LAST WEDNESDAY LECTIO, scheduled for April 25, has been moved to the first Wednesday in May.
In addition to May 2, we will meet again on the last Wednesday, May 30.

John’s in Norfolk. This is a chance for
your children to experience the energy,
talent, and music of trained camp

registrations are available in the
back of the sanctuary, in the west
hallway or in the church office.
There is a limit of 80 campers, so

PERSONAL CARE KITS
Personal Care Kits are the LWR project for
February through April. Instructions and the
list of materials to include in each kit can be
found in the west hallway – look for the
washtub. Thank you for supporting
Lutheran World Relief!
BUSY BAGS
Thank you to the second period Soar Class
from Norfolk Junior High School for making
and donating "Busy Bags" for the children at
St. John's Lutheran Church. Busy Bags --
cloth bags full of coloring books, crayons,
puzzles, etc. – are for children to use during a
worship service. Bags are now available at
both entrances to the sanctuary!
Thank you to everyone for the prayers and
cards during my recent stay in Omaha.

While thinking about Mosaic as the Mission
of the Month for April, please consider
making a donation of an item. Monetary
donations are always welcome, but some
items to consider donating would be:
activities, games, puzzles, adult bibs or
plastic kitchen ware. Thank you for your
support!
The Fellowship Life Team will be babysitting
on Thursday, May 3rd from 5-8 pm, in the
Fellowship Hall. We will have supper and
activities for the kids while the parents have
a night out. There is a sign up on the
registration slip in the bulletin or call the
church office at 402-371-1985.
It was decided at the
April Mission Life
Team Meeting to
constantly collect
foods for the
Norfolk Food
Pantry. There is a
great need in our
community. Emphasis for April & May will
be crackers, cereals, (especially low sugar)
canned tomatoes (all kinds), and puddings.
Watch for the grocery carts for your
donations!

Shares her hobbies of china painting and
egg sculptures.
Aaron Bonderson, son of Kevin & Beth, was
one of eight youths honored for the Norfolk
Noon Kiwanis Church Youth of the Year on
April 16 at a noon luncheon. Aaron is a
senior at Norfolk Senior High. The youth are
honored for their service to church,
community and school. The Norfolk Noon
Kiwanis is the largest service club in
northeast Nebraska who work to serve the
children of the world.
