M-3425A Data Recorder –The M-3425A Stator Ground Recorder software program is located in a

sub‑directory of the installed S-3400 IPScom Integrated Protection System communications software.
The following sequence of steps, when completed, will initiate polling of the following parameters: 2. From the "Comm Setup" section of the dialog screen, enter the appropriate
VA - Phase A Secondary Voltage communication parameters necessary to communicate with the target M-3425A, and
then select OK. The "Request" drop box will then be populated as shown in Figure 2.
VB - Phase B Secondary Voltage
VC - Phase C Secondary Voltage
VN - Neutral Secondary Voltage
Third Harmonics
P - Power, Real
Q - Power, Reactive
Breaker Monitor Status
Frequency Metering (20 Hz)

To initiate Stator Data Recorder Polling, proceed as follows:


1. Navigate to the "M-3425A Stator Ground Recorder.exe" file and launch the program.
The program will display the "TestComm/Comm Setup" dialog screen (Figure 1).

3. Verify that there is a proper physical connection to the rear of the M-3425A.

4. From the "Request" drop down list (Figure 3), select "Find Units on Network" and then 5. Select "Poll". The program will display the "Poll Network" dialog screen (Figure 5).

"M3425A_Metering.mtr" located in the program folder.
The script file has been modified to poll: VA, VB, VC, VN, Third Harmonics, P, Q, Breaker
Monitor Status, and Frequency Metering (20 Hz).
7. Set the "Trend Data" (sec) parameter to the desired data logging rate.
8. Select "Start" to begin data logging.
9. When data logging has been stopped, the data will be saved in a CSV file (TC_Trend_
XXXX.csv), which can be read with Excel™. When viewing the captured data in Excel,
in order to view the timestamp properly, expand the size of the cells in the timestamp
column.
