Unit Summary:

In this unit students, will explore the different skills and techniques to successfully play a game of soccer. Students will all be able to
identify and describe elements of soccer as well as the rules and strategies that apply to the game of soccer. They will understand the
importance of working in together to work towards a goal and show good sportsmanship through fair play. The involvement in the sport
will show active participation and the students will reflect on how the participation will affect their lifetime activity and how it affects their
individual physical fitness. All students will develop at different levels, so each must understand how their development differs from one
another. Throughout the unit, students will show understanding through demonstration of skills, outlines and quizzes on rules and skills of
soccer, and a project where students will work with a group learning how to properly interact with each other and achieved a common goal.
