Practicum Experiences
ELISE CONNOLLY 1
Utilized, planned for and incorporated technology into lessons using interactive white
boards, Sphero robots and IPads framing structured learning to assist students requiring
greater visual support when needed. This builds upon increasing and promoting further
curiosity to greater support visual learners and provides for better inclusiveness with
content being delivered.
Continually sought, reflected and applied professional feedback to further improve
teaching practice and student outcomes.
Utilized Jolly Phonic Reading Program and supported this with hands on creative
activities to kineasthically build connections between learners struggling with auditory
and visual concepts of word building.
Developed and worked with professionals in areas of HPE , OT, classroom assessment
and supervisory teachers as well as teacher aids and year level educators in implementing
and intergrating Perceptual Motor programs designed around the needs of students
incorporating this into their Individual Learning Plans.
Daily critical reflections on professional knowledge and practice with engagement in all
areas of learning and delivery through constructive discussion with my peers any areas
that could be improved or required explicit changes furthering knowledge and
understanding.

Supported science inquiry through building upon skill mix utilizing science experiments
to reveal through the examination of the mold growth on bread and develop important
hypothesis and record ,monitor and display mathematically linking mathematics with the
science unit outline.
Attended all staff meetings, school club activities, professional development meetings,
year level planning, parent meetings and mediations.
My lesson planning and teaching was critically evaluated and feedback given valued and
adjusted where required to further improve and build teaching skills and effective
practice.
Daily critical reflections with an explicit focus on behaviour management, classroom
routines, whole school activities and understanding in the growing learner area of
Primary School Years.

Association (MDA) Ltd as part of the Migrant Youth Vision Project (MYVP).
Worked alongside and Assisted in planning preparing and teaching lessons aimed at
developing and teaching of Australian English with range of professionals and students
including speech pathologist, educators and physiotherapist.

Facilitated and engaged in the sharing of cross culture activities including but not limited
to dancing, exploration of music and sharing of different cuisines, experiences and
