Kylah Webb

Early Childhood Educator

To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing to apply for a position in your school district. I currently attend Kent State University and
will be graduating in May 2018 with my Bachelor’s of Science in Early Childhood Education as well as
my International Baccalaureate Certificate of Teaching and Learning. Once graduated, I will receive
my Ohio Resident Educator License for PK-3. I am eager to begin my teaching career and work with
children and families to help students reach their fullest potential.

At Kent State University, I have had the privilege of working with a variety of grade levels and many
diverse school settings. During my student teaching experiences, I took full responsibility for all
classroom lessons and activities. This involved teaching all subject areas through whole group, small
group and cooperative learning instruction. I believe in a student-centered approach that focuses on
student engagement and growth. I was able to apply these strategies and receive extremely positive
feedback from mentor teachers and University supervisors. I believe these experiences have
provided the opportunity for me to develop skills in many areas, such as classroom management,
differentiation, integration, and classroom community building.

I sincerely feel that I am prepared to teach effectively and help support children as they learn and
grow. I would love the opportunity to set up a personal interview to discuss my qualifications more in-
depth. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at (740)-341- 8837 or email me
at kylahwebb@gmail.com. Thank you so much for your time and consideration, I hope to hear back
from you soon.

Sincerely,

Kylah Webb
