Learning Objectives By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to:
1. State at least 2 things which can be recycled.
2. Talk about 3 reasons why recycling is a good idea in at least 1 grammatically
correct sentence.
Activities:
1. Pre-Lesson 1. Pupils introduce themselves to classmates sitting near them.
2. Pupils stand in alphabetical order of their first names. In pairs, pupils remember
as many names as they can.
3. Pupils elicit the names of everyone in the line.

2. Talk about a friend in at least 1 grammatically correct sentence.
3. Arrange the ways of getting money in order from the most common to least
common.
Activities:
1. Pre-Lesson Pupils listen to the teacher introducing herself.
2. Lesson Development 1. In groups of 3, pupils tell each other about their family, something they like and
do not like with reasons.
2. In new groups of 3, pupils tell each other about themselves and their previous
group members.
3. Volunteers share with the class one interesting thing about a classmate.
4. In any way they choose, pupils in groups of 5/6 form letters told by teachers.
(MONEY ).
5. In pairs, pupils think of 5 ways people can get money. Answers are written on
the board.
3. Post Lesson
Individually, pupils put the ways of getting money in order from the most common to
least common and share answers with friends.
