Dear Jade Rundquist,

Congratulations! You have passed the National Interpreter Certification (NIC) Knowledge computerbased examination.
The score required to pass is 500 points. The score you received is 647.

By passing this exam, you have completed the first step toward becoming certified. Your next step is to apply to take
the NIC Interview and Performance Examination.

Please note, as of July 1 ,2012, all candidates taking the NIC Interview and Performance Exam must submit a
bachelor¶s degree (or higher degree in any field of study) or a qualifying Educational Equivalency Application (EEA) to
satisfy the educational requirements. Record of meeting the educational requirement must be documented in your RID
account prior to testing for the NIC I&P Exam.

If you have a college degree and would like to submit proof to RID that you meet the educational requirement, send an
original or photocopy of your official college transcript, showing your full name, the name of the college, the degree
earned, and the date the degree was conferred to:

RID
Attn: Certification Dept.
333 Commerce Street
Alexandria, VA 22314

Please notify the Certification Department at certification@rid.org if the name on your college transcript does not match
your name in the RID database.

If you do not have a bachelor¶s degree, the EEA may be an option for you to meet the educational requirement. The
EEA uses a point system that awards credit for college classes, interpreting experience, and RID CEUs. If you would
like to submit an EEA to RID you may send it via postal mail to: RID, Attn: Cert Dept, 333 Commerce Street,
Alexandria, VA 22314, or via e-mail to: certification@rid.org. The complete form along with an FAQ has been posted
to the RID website. RID asks that you submit a complete application with all necessary documentation included.
Notification that your official college transcript or your EEA has been processed will be provided via email within 3
weeks of receipt. Please verify that your e-mail address is correct by logging into your RID account at www.rid.org.

You have up to five (5) years from the date you pass the NIC Knowledge Exam to take and pass the NIC Interview and
Performance Exam. The five-year period begins from the date of this official results notification letter. If you do not
take and pass the NIC Interview and Performance Exam within this time frame, you will need to retake the NIC
Knowledge Exam and pay all the related fees.

If you have additional questions, please contact the Certification Department via E-mail
at certification@rid.org.
