DESCRIPTION
This project is being undertaken as part of a Master of Creative Industries study for Meivita Ika Nursanti.

The purpose of this project is to find out about visitors’ experiences and opinions about museums in Indonesia compared to the
museums located abroad as well as to understand museums’ visitors visiting habit in Indonesia.

You are invited to participate in this project because you are an Indonesian currently resides in another country.

PARTICIPATION
Participation will involve completing a thirteen item anonymous questionnaire that will take approximately 15 minutes of your
time. Questions will include:
1. How old are you?
2. Where do you spend your spare time?
3. What words do you associate with museums?
4. What words do you associate with museums in Indonesia?
5. What do you think of museums in Indonesia?
6. When was the last time you visit a museum in Indonesia?
7. How many times do you visit a museum in a year?
8. What makes you decide to visit a museum?
9. Have you ever visit the same museum more than once in a year? What museum? Why?
10. Do you have a particular recollection of memories after you visit a museum? For instance, the museums’ collections,
exhibitions or activities?

Your participation in this project is entirely voluntary. If you agree to participate you do not have to complete any question(s) you
are uncomfortable answering. Your decision to participate or not participate will in no way impact upon your current or future
relationship with QUT. If you do agree to participate once you commence the questionnaire each one of your answers will be
recorded by the system, even if you do not complete the entire questionnaire. As the questionnaire is anonymous once you
commence it, it will not be possible to delete data collected, but you might decide to leave the questionnaire at any time without
completing it.

EXPECTED BENEFITS
It is expected that this project will not benefit you directly. However, it may benefit the general community. You may request a copy
of the research findings to be sent to you.

RISKS
There are no risks beyond normal day-to-day living associated with your participation in this project.

PRIVACY AND CONFIDENTIALITY


All comments and responses are anonymous and will be treated confidentially unless required by law. The names of individual
persons are not required in any of the responses.

Any data collected as part of this project will be stored securely as per QUT’s Management of research data policy.
Please note that non-identifiable data collected in this project may be used as comparative data in future projects or stored on an
open access database for secondary analysis.

CONSENT TO PARTICIPATE
The commencement of the questionnaire is accepted as an indication of your consent to participate in this project.
