guiding you in this journey!

"May your First Communion celebrate your friendship with Jesus. As you grow in this friendship may your
words be gentle and your touch be kind. May you hear whispers of Love in your heart each day. May you
have fun in discovering God hidden everywhere! And, may you remember to thank God often for the gift of
life."
St. Anne's will be selling roses following Saturday and Sunday Masses on Mother's Day weekend
for Birthright at a suggested donation of $2.00 each. Make Mother's Day special for the ladies in your life.

The Knights of Columbus members will be distributing Baby bottles for their annual
Kansans for Life fundraiser next weekend (Mothers’ Day weekend). They kindly ask
that you consider filling the bottle over the next few weeks with your loose change, bills,
or check payable to “Kansans for Life” and return the bottle to the church on Father’s
Day weekend, even if it’s not completely filled. THANKS!

”Dear St. Joseph Friends: I do not have adequate words to express my thanks
for all your prayers, cards, phone calls, and other acts of kindness during my
surgery and recovery. I am feeling pretty well and looking forward to some
warm weather. God has certainly blessed me and I am so very thankful for
answered prayers and all other kindness. God Bless you all!!”

St. Joseph’s Cemetery Committee Announcement

In an effort to enhance and beautify the appearance of the St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, the cemetery
committee is building on a generous calf club donation of approximately $10,000 for this endeavor. The
total cost of removing the front/north fence, replacing it with a maintenance-free black Ameristar
Montage Majestic style fence with limestone columns is estimated at $30,860. If anyone would like to
donate to this project please make your check payable to St. Joseph’s Church and write “Cemetery” on the
memo line.

Marriage Minute
Do you have enough joy?
Very few people would say, “I have enough joy in my life and my marriage.” If you want more
joy, Jesus gives us the path to follow in this week’s Gospel. Laying down our life for our spouse is
the simple, albeit difficult path to unbridled joy.
Many of us would “die” for our spouse if it literally meant surrendering our life so our spouse
could live, but we have a much more difficult time living for our spouse and surrendering our will
day in and day out in small things like:
• Listening to our spouse with full attention
• Offering an encouraging word instead of criticism
• Turning off the TV and having a conversation
For more practical ways to “lay down your life,” go to www.JoyfulMarriageProject.com.
