Security Services
The Braam Board provide effective leadership based on an ethical foundation
and strive to achieve a balance between the interests of Braam and its various
stakeholders. The Board is responsible for all appointments including a Precinct
Manager, service providers, the selection of projects to be undertaken and the
approval of the annual budget.

As such under review of the critical escalation of criminal incidents within


Braamfontein, the decision was taken to appoint a new security supplier that
would be capable to respond to the issues facing the precinct.

The selection process involved a thorough assessment of the capacity of


services providers as well as the application of innovative, technologically
advanced and community driven strategies to effectively clamp down on crime.

As of the 1st of May 2018 Braam, launched a new security partnership with
Excellerate Services.

The Security Services are in place to assist, protect and respond to all incidents
reported within the Precinct with the support of law enforcement bodies.

The objectives of Braam Security are to ensure the safety of the Community
within the public space, as well as uphold the standard of law within the
precinct, as such they will be supporting law enforcement with the policing of
inter alia:
