Project Goal

We the Business Economics students of Bulacan State University from College of Business
Administration will conduct a concert for a cause entitled “RAKRAKAN PARA SA BILIRAN”.
The concert will be on February 21, 2018 at 5pm – 10pm and will take place on Valencia Hall,

December Avenue and Bandang Shirley also four student bands from Bulacan State University
CAP Band (Cultural Affairs Performing Band), CICT Band, Damograss Band and R.O.C.K.
Band. Our goal in creating this event is to raise a large sum of money for those people that are
recently affected by the Typhoon Urduja. The Tropical Storm hit Eastern Samar particularly the
island province of Biliran. Heavy rains brought by Urduja caused boulders, mud and debris from
the mountains to crash down several villages in Biliran last December 16, 2017. A total of
244,121 families or more than one million individuals from 1,669 barangays were affected by
Urduja’s widespread flooding and landslides in MIMAROPA (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon
and Palawan), Bicol, Western, Eastern and Central Visayas and Caraga. Of these affected
families, 28,959 families or 100,169 persons have been forced to leave their houses to stay in
381 evacuation centers, while 17,577 families or 47,791 persons are staying with relatives.
Damage to agriculture in areas affected by Urduja has reached almost P400 million, with the
crops sector sustaining the most destruction and P543 million to infrastructure. The island
accounted for 86 deaths, with 31 residents still missing. As of now they have been placed under
a state of calamity. The tickets sold will proceed to our fellow Filipinos that may bring them
hope, help to stand and continue their lives after the Typhoon Urduja. The show will be a
sponsor and booth fees. It will provide food and water to those in evacuation shelters. It is
putting together resources to assist million people, including food, hygiene kits, emergency
shelter and protection. The theme of the concert was focus largely on "resiliency, optimism, and
moving forward" to a better tomorrow. All the help needed by those affected by the calamity will
be deliver on time without any problem or obstruction. We assure everyone that all funds
provided would be well managed and accounted for.
Named Project Sponsor

Our organization reaches different companies and firms that might help us financially in our fund
raising concert. Also we open some social media sites where everyone can access and send help
in all means. Most of them approved and definitely extend their resources. Donors respond with
pledges and commitments to support our projects. We discussed and agreed on the same vision
we want in serving victims of this natural calamity that caused so much damage to their lives and
their properties. They support us financially and help us make a positive difference in the lives of
people coping the devastation of the storm Urduja. Our priority will be to provide people with
emergency assistance, keeping in mind the mid-term goal of helping them to resume their normal
lives. Most of the funds we are calling for will be spent on food and basic shelter materials that
can be provided right away. We thank these organizations who kindly show support for the
victims by making donation that can provide some relief to these unfortunate people. Our work is
only possible with the assistance of these generous sponsors.
