I am writing to you because I am extremely interested in the open nursing position in the trauma
unit at UPMC Presbyterian. I believe that I am a great candidate. I’m graduating from Penn
State Erie-The Behrend College with a bachelor's degree in nursing. I’m very dependable and
have strong leadership qualities which I believe will make me the perfect fit for this position.

The Behrend nursing program has definitely taught me all the skills I need to be a successful
nurse. The internships that I have partaken have better prepared me for this position. My strong
qualities include: being able to work as a team, the ability to hold a strong leadership role, me
attention to detail when it comes to patient care, and having the patience to withhold any
situation presented. All of these qualities will help me succeed at UPMC Presbyterian. I
eventually will be taking two more years of school online to obtain my masters degree to be a
Nurse Practitioner. I plan to keep working at Presbyterian Hospital while taking classes and then
hopefully take on a Nurse Practitioner role.
