Po l i C y
Within HEiNEKEN’s business model, distribution plays an essential role in
delivering our products to customers and consumers in a timely and efficient
manner. it is also one of the key elements of the overall supply chain from
Barley to Bar.

As part of our Brewing a Better Future approach to sustainability, we re


committed to continually reduce our total carbon footprint as a business.
over time, in conjunction with our other environmental policies, this distribution
policy will help ensure that we meet this goal.

With our Global Distribution Policy we are committed:

• To improve the environmental impact of our distribution activities whilst


respecting our consumer’s choice and fulfilling the service level and quality
standards as expected by our customers by:

• Reducing the kilometres we drive by continuously optimising our


distribution networks considering Co2 emissions.

• Working together with operators and logistics service providers to improve


the fuel efficiency of our and their fleets and looking for ways to use
more efficient equipment and use it more efficiently (higher utilization,
more hectolitres, less empty kilometres, etc.)

• Incorporating sustainability criteria in the procurement of transportation


services therefore considering Co2 emissions in all logistic decisions.

• Maintaining an active and open dialogue with external stakeholders


and engaging in external initiatives that aim to improve the environmental
performance of the transport industry across different modalities

• To monitor our performance by measuring and reporting our Co2 emissions


related to the distribution of our products by:

• Rolling-out a standard carbon footprint measurement methodology and


model for distribution operations, which will measure, report and identify
Co2 improvement opportunities.

• implementing ‘Global Distribution’ KPis as part of our overall reporting


system:
• Total tonnes of Co2
• Kilograms of Co2 per Hl delivered to customers

• To publish the results of our efforts in the HEiNEKEN Sustainability Report
