May our actions, our decisions, our prayers and our assignments be arrows of faith in the

hands of the Lord........

2 Kings 13:14- 19
14 Some time before the death of King Jehoash, Elisha the prophet was very sick and about
to die. Jehoash went in and stood beside him, crying. He said, “Master, what will Israel’s
chariots and cavalry be able to do without you?”
15-16 “Grab a bow and some arrows,” Elisha told him, “and hold them in your hand.” Jehoash
grabbed the bow and arrows and held them. Elisha placed his hand on the king’s hand 17 and
said, “Open the window facing east.” When it was open, Elisha shouted, “Now shoot!”
Jehoash shot an arrow and Elisha said, “That arrow is a sign that the Lord will help you
completely defeat the Syrian army at Aphek.”
18 Elisha said, “Pick up the arrows and hit the ground with them.” Jehoash grabbed the
arrows and hit the ground three times, then stopped. 19 Elisha became angry at the king and
exclaimed, “If you had struck it five or six times, you would completely wipe out the Syrians.
Now you will defeat them only three times.”

As I was praying this morning I heard the word "Practical" and the world has changed the
meaning of this word in a way to mean "how it SUITS ME to proceed in application of MY
thinking" And as I prayed I asked the Lord to uncap what suits us to do and uncap our
thinking that restrains us to what HE can do and to restore wonder in the church and faith
that says God can do anything and His abilities and power is limitless in order to believe for
the miraculous things HE wants to do whether by answered prayer or actions through us and
let our practicality be ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE TO HIM WHO BELIEVES. ---

So in hearing this scripture in 2 Kings regarding the striking of the arrows -- may our prayers
be as striking arrows for a sign of the victories that lie ahead and may we not be stopped at
our thinking that stops our faith at a certain level or distance or number but may our faith be
unstoppable except that the word of the Lord comes forth for us to stop at His command.

King Jehoash stopped at his own ruling as he was used to being "king" making decisions and
he did not wait for the word of the Lord to give the direction after he took the command -- no
-- he took the word and he ruled it -- too often we receive a directive from the Lord and we
run with it without waiting for further instruction.
The Lord is saying let your faith be without walls of your own understanding and let your
assignment be led to follow through with My instruction and not your own.
Too many assignments have been aborted prematurely and this year we will see victories as
we follow through.
