Why ‘between the evenings” is used at the beginning of the 14th day
(24 hour period) and “at even” is used on the other end!

Ex 12:6 should say in context, “keep
it up until the fourteenth 24 hour
period; not later, not 12 hours from
now, not until daylight, only up until.
Sunrise Reckoning of the Day
In a sunrise reckoning of the day, it would appear that the lamb
may be kept for another 12 hours approx after the up until the
fourteenth day, if not killed until “between the evenings.”
In a sunrise reckoning of day, the only
place Ex 12:6 can go is in the middle
of the 24 hour day. It then conflicts
with Ex 12:18
14th Day
In a sunrise reckoning of day, the only
place Ex 12:18 can go is in the middle
of the 24 hour day. It should be the
dividing line between the 14th day and
the 15th day but it isn’t.
The context of Ex 12:18 and the Feast of
ULB is seven 24 hour days, indicated by
“even to even;” not 12 hr days.
Ex 12:18 belongs at the end of
the 14th 24 hour period since we
know that the Feast of ULB
belongs at the end of the 21st 24
hour period. (same principle)

should define the same point in time; the
dividing line between the 14th day and
the 15th day, or between the 14th 24
hour period and the 15th 24 hour period.

Lev 23:6 and Num 28:17 say the
fifteenth day, and Ex 12:18 says
fourteenth day at even. They all
should be at the same point in
time, between 14th and 15th but
in a sunrise reckoning they aren’t.
