to have adequate precautions to minimise the spread of flame
to the walls, facade and ceilings. The finishing materials used for
various surfaces and decor shall be such that it shall not generate
toxic smoke or fumes.
3.4.15.2 The susceptibility to fire of various types of wall surfaces
is determined in terms of the rate of spread of flame. Based on
the rate of spread of flame, surfacing material shall be divided into
four classes
