Religion and Beliefs

Reading

Conventional beliefs include believing in God and the Prophets while Alternative
Beliefs are based on astrology and superstitions. Only minorities believe in the
former. The majority have Conventional Beliefs. In religion, a creed is a strong religious
faith while a belief can be based on any thing such as horoscopes etc. In Conventional
Beliefs, we have clairvoyants who claim to foresee future and make predictions
about different things. There are also mediums that cause you to talk to the dead in
meetings called “Séances”. In Conventional beliefs, mystics and numerologists help
a suffering person for divine pleasure without monetary reward. However, street
astrologers extort money and are material and fake; the latter are divine and pious.
There are also cynics who seek scientific explanation for everything and disregard a
phenomenon, which is not scientifically proven. The belief system of a community
also has atheists who do not believe in the existence of God and agnostics who
doubt the same. They have their own morality and call themselves humanists. Since,
there are many denominations and much sectarianism in religion, more and more
people prefer to be humanists. The preaching system has congregation and rituals to
be observed. The sinners must confess their wrongdoings and act virtuously to be
rewarded in the hereafter and enter paradise.
