Manuel Works at a fast food restaurant. He metes his friend Elisa in the
street.

E: Hi, Manuel.
M: Hi, Liza. How are you?
E: Fine, thanks. Hey, nice uniform!
M: Thanks. I´m working at Tony´s, that fast food restaurant on the corner.
E: Really? And is it hard work?
M: Yes, above all at lunch time and in the evenings. A lot of people come
and we have to make sure they all get best food and the best service as
fast as possible.
E: And what exactly do you do at the restaurant?
M: Well, I make sandwiches. I´m surrounded by heads of lettuce,
tomatoes, eggs, ham, cheese and bottles of ketchup, mayonnaise and
mustard.
E: And don´t you feel like eating the sandwiches?
M: To tell you the truth, I make so many sandwiches that I don´t feel that
craving for them any more.
E: You know what? I´d like to work in a fast food restaurant, too.
M: Well, there are plenty of restaurants to choose from. You just have to
apply for the job.

CEVICHE OF SQUIDS

Ingredients:

12 fresh squids,
6 lemons,
3 garlic cloves,
3 tomatoes,
2 onions punctured,
1 yellow fresh chili without seeds or veins,
1 rocoto,
bad Parsley,
Salt,
Pepper,

Preparation:

To clean the fresh squids without cutting the cones. To have taken care of
withdrawing the bag of ink without breaking it, since it would give a dark color to
the cebiche. To cut the squid in chunks of two centimeters approximately,
including the tentacles.

To place the chunks of squid in a colander and to spill water boiling. Also they
can be boiled during 1 minute. To slip and to place in a source. Apart, to liquefy

RICE WITH CHICKEN


Ingredients:

8 dams of chicken,

is ready. To withdraw the dams, without allowing that they should cool. To
incorporate the rice, the vetches, the maize and the pepper. To mix well. To add
the water, rectifying the season and to go to boiling. To lower the fire and to
continue cooking 20 more minutes until the rice is cooked. To serve the rice with
the warm well dams of chicken and decorate with strips of pepper …

PORK SCRATCHING OCTOPUS

Ingredients:

1 medium octopus,
1 ½ to 2 spoonfuls of sillao or sauce of soy bean,
½ teaspoonful of mustard,
4 eggs, lightly beaten,
2 spoonfuls of milk,
2 cups of sieved flour,
Salt,
Pepper,
Oil, the necessary quantity.

Preparation:
To fill a pot with water and to go to boiling. As soon as it is boiling to plunge the
octopus and to cook it during 40 minutes approximately, until it is firm. This is
verified introducing a small stick of teeth.
Some persons on having immersed the octopus in the water boiling plunge also
one it eats. The octopus will be ready when it eats it is cooked. Once cooked the

(1 ½ inch).

ketchup).

you would probably like to know the number of calories
contained in your fast-food favorites.
Whenever you eat a hamburger, you take in about 550
calories. A small bag of French fries contains about 350
calories. And, a piece of fried chicken has around 350 calories.
Those who love having pizza, like me, should know that just a
single slice of pizza is likely to have over 600 calories.
Considering that only one slice is not usually enough, we can
easily have twice as many calories if we decide on another
slice.
Generally speaking, our fast-food favorites are mostly high in
calories, so if we want to avoid putting on weight, we should cut
down on them.
