Reflection
Counting 1-10
Today’s lesson was about counting 1 to 10, I start with a counting song. Then let the children
count different ten objects. For the classroom management, I used the reinforcement strategy.
The two activities that went well are the counting teddies and counting circles. Counting teddies,
because it was easy and the teddies grabs the children attention. But I was sitting with the
children to see if they are counting by pointing in each teddy. The second activity is the
counting circles, because it was also easy, but I think for the next time I will try to challenge the
students by not putting the dots. The one activity that didn’t go well is the counting cubes,
because most of the students get confused they thought that they must build the cubes to fit with
the flashcard. For the next lesson, I will try to only write the numbers without putting the
pictures of the cubes. About the transition, the time is only 30 minutes, so I let the children
finished the other activities in the third lesson.
