Philosophy of Education
Education has always and it will continue to change over the years, but one things for
sure is that it serves an educational purpose. The educational purpose it serves is to educate
students in the different ways of teaching, about the important roles social justice plays in a
Purpose
Teachers have such an important role in a student’s education. They serve an important
purpose in a child’s learning and they guide a student into becoming more educated. . “we teach
who we are, and sometimes we’re tired, listless, and cranky, and others times we scheme up what
we think is a smash of a lesson plan only to witness it skid and crash” ( Insrator, 2003). This is a

Learning environment
The learning environment a teacher creates determines if the information actually makes
sense to the student. Some students do not have the resource to further their education. Some
schools do not provide the right amount of materials or subjects that some student may need to
gain more knowledge. “…students need information that is connected to their lives and that
helps them to understanding both the micro and the marco level” ( Hackman, 2005) . This is
important because students do need materials and subjects that captures their interest. All

Education is the most important thing we can give to a child. A teacher needs to be capable of
effectively teaching our children to prepare them for the future. Teachers are the ones who are the ones do
set students into the right path. They are the ones who teach students a little of everything such as politics,
jobs, discrimination, college, etc. “Daniel’s suit prompted the state legislature to provide new
funding to schools like hers--- mostly in low-income communities and communities of color --to
begin offering advanced courses” ( Oakes and Lipton, 2002). This is important because students
need to attend a school that offers course for everyone not just one specific race or school.
Curriculum
Common Core Standard were formed to provide a clear understanding of how to prepare
our students for that they need to learn at the end of the school year and outside of school. In
these standards students are able to form skills such as; “how to critically think, problem solve,
collaborate, adapt, show initiative, communicate effectively through written and oral language,
access and analyze information, and use their imagination and curiosity” ( Dana, Burns &
Wolkenhauer. 2013). It is important to have students learn more than what is in the curriculum
form. It does not have students just focus in one particular skill.
A teacher must know how to communicate with her students and be willing to want to
make a change. All students should always have equal opportunities when it comes to learning.
They have to be willing to be feel uncomfortable. “However, I’m willing to feel uncomfortable
with my students if it means we can reimagine alternative realities for Pecola” (Mooney, 2015).
Teachers need to acknowledge that if they want to make a change then they would create the
