GENERAL GUIDELINES
1. Each team will be composed of 8-10 members only belonging to the same section.
2. Each team must use their selected UPV TTBDO enterprise to partner with and assist in terms
of product or service improvement, marketing, operations, financial management etc.
3. One point from the total score will be deducted for every rule violation.
4. Points will be deducted for late submission of requirements or late arrival of members in an
event for every 30 mins. (i.e. 0-30Min – 1 point, 31-60Min – 2 points, 61-90Min – 3 points., etc.)
(Deduction is by Team, not individual deduction i.e. 3 Members are late 0-30Min – 1 point)
5. The schedule attached to this primer will be promptly followed and appropriate incentives and
penalties will be applied.
6. Team name, list of members and leader with respective contact numbers and section number
should be sent to entrepment2k18@gmail.com on or before February 23,2018 ,11:59PM in
Microsoft Office Word 2010 format.

2. The AVP should not exceed 2 minutes. One point will be deducted in the score for every 5
seconds in excess.
3. The AVP should be original. Compilation of existing commercials or other AVPs is not allowed.
4. Scores for the AVP are included as part of the criteria in judging the Expo.
5. The AVP should be submitted in a flash drive on or before April 23, 2018 at 6:00PM to the
Overall Committee Head
PRESENTATION
1. All members of the group must be at the venue on or before 7:30 AM.
2. Presenter/s can be any member/s of the group. There is no limit to the number of presenters.
3. Each group will be given 10 minutes for presentation and 10 minutes for the Questions and
Answer.
4. Time starts upon raising of the green flag. During the presentation, a white flag will be raised
to signal that there is only 3 minutes left; a yellow flag for 1 minute; and a red flag is waved
when the 10-minute duration is over. One point will be deducted in the presentation score for
every minute beyond time.
5. After the presentation, the judges will ask questions to the presenting group. Questions can
be answered by any member of the group.
6. The language to be used in the presentation must be in English. Local dialect can only be
used if the statements are part of the product’s or business’ promotion or tagline.
7. The slide presentation should be in Microsoft Office Power Point 2010.
8. Number of slides should not be more than 20.
9. The presentation style will constitute 20% of the total score.
10. Dress code is either business casual or corporate attire.

DETAILED GUIDE FOR THE EVALUATION
PAPER
MARKET STUDY (20%)
• USER BASE – is the user base well defined and substantiated considering the supply
and demand for the product or service?
• COMPETITION AND COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE – is the competitive advantage of the
product/company well explained. Identified primary competitors, identify the price leader,
the quality leader & the service leader. Realistically consider their strengths &
weaknesses.
• PRICING and MARKETING POLICIES and STRATEGIES – are the pricing and other
marketing strategies are well defined and the channels of distribution identified?
PRODUCTION or TECHNICAL STUDY (20%)
• FACILITIES - Are the availability, suitability and efficiency of technical/production facilities
identified and defined?
• PRODUCTION or PROCESS INPUTS - Are the essential input requirements identified
and properly quantified? Is the Supply Chain properly identified in the process?
• LOCATION and LAYOUT – Are the location and layout of the facilities and office space
properly selected considering economy, efficiency and effectiveness?
FINANCIAL STUDY (20%)
• PROJECT COST - Is the projection of the total project cost complete and properly
estimated?

• ASSUMPTIONS- are the assumptions realistically identified and correctly computed? Is
the description of the risks & consequences of adverse outcomes relating to your industry,
your company, your market identified?
• FINANCIAL STATEMENTS - Are the projected financial statements properly
substantiated and analysed?
MANAGEMENT or ORGANIZATION STUDY (20%)
• ORGANIZATION - Is the form of business organization applicable and proper?
• STRUCTURE - Is the Internal structure determined considering the functions,
qualifications, and compensation and gov’t regulations?

CONTENTS (60%)
• MARKET STUDY –industry analysis, S and D of resourced, S and D (complete S and D)
of product, marketing program, projected production and sales
• TECHNICAL STUDY – location and layout design, RM/supplies requirements, labor
requirements, other operating requirements, projected costs of operations.
• FINANCIAL STUDY – financial assumptions, financial projections, financial analysis,
financial benchmarking.
• ORGANIZATIONAL and MANAGEMENT STUDY – business organization, organizational
structure, qualifications of personnel, salary structure
• INNOVATION AND TECHNOLOGY - relation to or concerned with the innovation and
technology used in the product
• COMPLETENESS- having all the necessary or appropriate parts
• RESEARCH SUPPORT- facts, study materials, and sources to backing up the business
plan
PRESENTATION STYLE (20%)
• CREATIVENESS - uniqueness of the plan, originality of idea
• RELEVANCE- applicability and significance of results is properly discussed
CAPTIVENESS (10%)
• STRENGTH OF ORATORY - ability to capture attention, eye catching
CLARITY/ ORGANIZATION (10%)
• STRUCTURE - presentation is well-structured and the conveyance of the idea is clear.
