II. REFERRAL QUESTION

The patient was endorsed by the Bureau of Jail Management and Phenology (BJMP) last November 16,
2015 since the patient was reported to have shown disturbing behavior which was associated to the
criminal case file against the patient (People of the Philippines vs. Cresilyn T.,in the case of Frustrated
Homicide).

III. CASE BACKGROUND

The patients relayed very few information about herself on the questions related to her past
experiences, relationship towards parents and her immediate family, relationship with other people
and with her previous job and academic experiences. When asked to further elaborate her answer
she usually opted not to answer or say “Yun lang po” (that is all).

During her childhood years, Cresilyn T. described herself as achiever. Cresilyn was awarded as one of
the ‘top in the class’ and the ‘most behave’ during her elementary and high school years. She has no
record of delinquent activities such as cheating, lying, stealing, cruelty to other children and sexual
delinquencies. As reported by Cresilyn T., she was very compliant with what her teacher asked her to
do.

Her complaint behavior was rooted with the patient’s relationship and view towards her parents.
Though she reported no negative experiences with her parents, she described them as strict, and
requires to them full-compliance to avoid being scolded. Her father is described to be “mabait” (good
man” and “masipag” (hardworking) while her mother is “maalalahanin” (caring). she had a good
relationship with her siblings especially with her younger than her.

In describing her family life, Cresilyn T. described her spouse as “masipag” (hardworking) and worked
in other place just to support her family. In this case, she usually feels longingness towards her
husband and occasionally makes her anxious since she reported that there are “akyat-bahay”
(robbery) cases in their locality. She usually stay up late to check and to protect her children.

However, her attitude of staying up late started, as recounted by the patient started after she gave
birth to her fourth child year 2007. this feeling lasted until 2013, where she was brought to a “Doctor”
and gave her medicine. Cresilyn T. stated that her illness during that time was “nerbyos” and her
medicine was a vitamin to relieve her “nerbyos”.

Cresilyn also accounted that there are instances that while she is sleeping, she was brought to heaven
and able to talked with “Jesus Christ”, and told her to do good, go to church, and offer all her act to
God. With this instruction, she always go (everyday) to church every morning to pray and offer herself
to God.

On the year 2015, she reported to stab her neighbor because of their bad doings towards her such as
false accusations which make her felt insulted. With this act, she was summoned
