From the Teacher’s Desk
Dear Families,
It seems like just yesterday when we
had the opportunity of meeting you and
your children, and now the school year
is coming to an end. The students have
all worked really hard this school year
and they have made tremendous
growth and will be ready for Kindergar-
ten at the end of the School Year!
The last day for all CMS students will
be Friday June 8, 2018. Our End of
Year Celebration will be held on
Wednesday June 6, 2018. If you would
like to attend, please make sure that
you are a registered volunteer. Only
two people per child will be allowed into
the classroom since space is limited;
this is for the safety of our children.
Please look for more information to
come. On this day, we will also send
home your child’s final progress report
for the year
We would like to thank you for all of
your dedication to your child’s educa-
tion. Always remember that you are
your child’s first teacher and that you,
your child, and your child’s teacher are
all partners and should work together to
ensure they have the best educational
experience!

Curriculum Corner May Events
We are currently engrossed in our Balls Study.
Students are learning all about balls, how they

move, who uses them, and what they are Kindergarten Beginners Night
made out of. We will begin our Reduce, Re-
use, Recycle Study in a few weeks. We are

when to send it in! We just had our 100 Book May 7th– May 11th
Reader Celebration! We also celebrated Ms. Teacher Appreciation Week
Loden’s last day of student teaching. She did
a great job and we will miss her! May 11th
Field Trip to Hall Family Farm
The PPVT results are in and all of our stu-
dents achieved high growth in vocabulary! We
