1. Outline of Product
1. Features
This is a miniature lightweight single-plate color camera which is designed to
observe and diagnose the endoscope images displayed on the TV monitor screen.
It is used in conjunction with a rigid scope, an R-eyepiece fiberscope and a light
source unit (A set is combined only with a rigid scope). The special TV adapter (AR-
TF2, AR-T2, AR-TZ, AR-TD) is connected to the camera head. The features are as
follows:
2. Using Conditions
(1) When using with the peripheral devices other than medical equipments whose
electric safety is confirmed, use an insulating transformer for those devices.
(2) When immersing the camera head in chemical solution, be sure to attach the
waterproof cap and the special adapter.
(3) When sterilizing the unit with gas, remove the waterproof cap.
(4) The A-set can not be used with the R-eyepiece fiberscope.

2. Block Operation
1. Power Supply
The power supply of OTV-S4 comprises a transformer, a rectifier, a stabilized
5VDC/12VDC power supply unit (UPIS40) and three units (CCU unit) which creates
+9V DC from 12VDC. The primary input power is sent from the AC inlet to the
transformer through the breaker and power supply switch. The transformer insu-
lates the primary and secondary sides, and supplies 13VAC and 6VAC to the light
adjustment board (UPIS40) as a secondary output. The UPIS40 creates 12VDC
and 5VDC from the stabilized AC power from the transformer and supplies to other
units. The CCU unit creates 9VDC from the 12VDC supplied from the UPIS40 and
supplies to the character generator through UPIS40.
