New software, V-ECU

NOTE!

This Service Bulletin is to be considered as technical information
only and is not subject to any reimbursement programs outside
normal warranty.

Cause
There have been some cases that the pinion gear in start motor
is damaged. This is caused by the fact that V-ECU sends a shut-
down request when trying to crank directly from key-off to engine
running in a very short time.

Action
V-ECU has been updated not to send a shut-down request during
3 seconds when cranking an engine.
In case of a field complaint, update V-ECU software with new one.
NOTE!
The software update is available via the campaign software
function in Tech Tool.

Software Instruction (Tech Tool 2)

1 Start TechTool and log in “online” (Connect to Central
Systems).
2 Select [Tech Tool] – Administrate Software.
3 Select Machine, Serial Number and Campaign.
4 Press [Add].
5 Check which ECU's are in the machine.
6 Delete unwanted/non existing ecu’s N.B. It is only possible
to download one MID/type per machine.
NOTE!
The available campaign name for this release in Tech Tool is:
V2015W03*366EXC406K*W1503.
7 Press [Send order].
8 Make sure the software is downloaded by checking
[Available software].
9 Close Administrate software.
10 Program the machine.
