Procedure:

CHECK AND ENSURE:

I. Immediate checks:
 TG and boiler have tripped and generator-transformer and field circuit breakers have
opened.
 DC AOP, DC JOP and DC SCANNER air fans are running.
 APH Air motor running.
ii. Further checks
 220V, 24V and UPS batteries are healthy.
 At 540 rpm DCJOP has cut in. Turning gear has cut in at 210 rpm.
 LPH 2&3, HPH 5 Deareator NRVs are shut.
 Lube oil is not draining out from centrifuge.
 All emergency DC/AC illuminations have cut in.
ACTIONS
i. Immediate actions:
 Isolate gland steam system steam & water valves.
 The DG Should start in Auto ( Note : Both of the Selector switches at DG Panel and
at CCR has to be in Remote Mode ) ,

** IF THE DG is not started when Both Selector Switches are in REMOTE, then (i)
we have to start it from CCR by taking CCR selector switch in Manual mode OR (ii) we
