- 62% Schools in KP have complete facilities as of June 2017

- Overall more than 73,000 missing facilities have been provided to Schools in
2013-17 as compared to 10,000 in 2008-13

- Number of Schools with;

・Satisfactory Building rose from 45% to 87%

・Drinking Water facility rose from 77% to 89%

・Toilet facility rose from 78% to 95%

・Boundary wall rose from 77% to 95%

・Electricity rose from 51% to 87%

- 20% Increase in Primary & 21% increase in middle enrollment

- Teachers attendance rose to 86% due affective monitoring measures

- While 817 New Schools established and 2412 Schools were upgraded from Primary
to Middle & Middle to High & Higher Secondary

- In the last 5 years KP Primary school infrastructure score rose to 91.12 edging out
Punjab and Middle school infrastructure score rose to 89.25 only behind Punjab.

- First ever Girls Boarding Model School established in Mardan - École Fatima AL-

FEHRI

- Due to better facilities, improved standards and teachers attendance 34k students
transfered from private to govt schools in KP

- KP govt collected fines amounting to Rs190 million from officials of the education
department, including teachers, who were found absent during duty hours.

- KP govt introduced "teaching excellence award" and disbursed 100k award money
per headmaster to 118 schools according to their performance

- A bill was approved and enacted into a law for compulsory education by KP govt

- A help line was established to lodge complaints against Corporal punishment,


Teacher absence and Lack of basic facilities. A law against Corporal Punishment also

in the Pipeline.

- In 2013, There were only 179 IT Labs in government Schools. 5 years later, the
number rose to 1350. 1400 more will be made in the coming months.

- KPK government in collaboration with the Microsoft giving Microsoft certification


course to train 15,000 IT teachers in government schools.

As a result of all these reforms, hard work, & dedication by KP government and

Education department, 9 out of the top 10 & 13 out of the top 20 Districts of Pakistan

in terms of School infrastructure are from KP. District Haripur tops the infrastructure
