Acrylate modification with silicone resin

"Silres 836" is a solid phenyl silicone resin that, thanks to
product modification, has a glass transition greater than
60°C, despite its hydroxyl content of >3%. Its good
compatibility renders it suitable for modifications (cooking) of
organic resins. In combination with the resins, the product
ranks among the least thermoplastic silicone resins. General
silicone properties, such as enhanced weathering and UV
resistance, increased heat strength and the non-stick
properties of coatings are obtained. In acrylic resins,
cooking produces clear, eminently weatherable films.
