Read the following text:
Whatever your interest, you’ll find a magazine that tells you more about it. Like newspapers, new issues
of a magazine go on sale regularly – usually weekly or monthly. But magazines last longer than newspapers.
Often two or three people read the magazine before discarding it. And some magazines, such as scientific
journals, are more like reference books. Their buyers keep them to refer to months or even years later.
Magazines are printed in colour on glossy paper and have many pictures.
There are magazines for every reader’s interest. There are fashion, beauty, and family magazines as well
as magazines en every activity from sailing and fishing to computers and arts.
Magazines such as Time and Newsweek give the background to current events in more depth than
newspapers or television news.
