CHAPTER 1 – A Lonely Child

King George V = Father Queen Mary = Mother

He didn’t like children. “A child must be silent and strong”.

- Buckingham Palace had 600 rooms. People sometimes got lost.

- Edward had a special classroom Just for him, but he doesn’t like this, because he didn’t had
any friends.

CHAPTER 2 – The Prince of Wales

- He’s sixteen years old.
- He said: I’ll look like a girl. (He was wearing soft shoes and a skirt).
- He cried for two days.
- The King put a small gold crown on Edward’s head, on 10th June 1911.

CHAPTER 3 – The Royal Star

- Edward went to fight in the First World War, in 1916.
- When he was away, somebody shot in driver him, in the neck.
- In 1920 he left England again and travels. When he came, everywhere thousands of people
waited to see him. He’s now the most famous man in the world.

CHAPTER 4 – The Meeting

- Edward meets Wallis.
- He liked her, because she told the truth.

CHAPTER 5 – Wallis
- Winfield Spencer = Her first hunsband (He hit her and locked her in the bathroom).
- Ernest Simpson = New husband her (He’s quiet, but interesting).
- After meeting her better, they were in Love and the Princes asked her to marry him.

CHAPTER 6 – The King is dead! Long live the king!

- In January 1936, Queen Mary told to Edward that the king was ill.
- When he arrived, he went straight ti his father’s room.
- At midnight, the king died and Edward is the new king.
