Brainstorming is a group creativity technique by which efforts are made to find a conclusion for a specific problem

by gathering a list of ideas spontaneously contributed by its members.


METHODS IN BRAINSTORMING

1. Creating an IDEA LIST- listing ideas about a particular topic


2. Creating an IDEA MAP- write the big idea at the center, add related ideas by writing down in a circle near the big
idea and draw a line connecting the two.

Define the problem or the issue that needs to be solved. At the end of a brainstorming session, make sure to
evaluate the ideas.

GRAPHIC ORGANIZERS- are visual representations of concepts that helps us structure information into organizational
patterns.

TYPES OF GRAPHIC ORGANIZERS

1. Venn Diagram- is used to compare and contrast ideas and events


2. Network Tree- is used to represent hierarchy, classification, and branching. It is useful in showing relationships
of scientific categories, family trees, and even lineages.

3. Spider Map- also known as SEMANTIC MAP


- Is used to investigate and enumerate various aspects of a central ide, which could be a concept,
topic or theme.

4. Problem- Solution Map- displays the nature of the problem and how it can be solved.

5. Timeline- is used to show how events occurred chronologically through a long bar labeled with dates and
specific events
6. Plot diagram- is a tool used to map events in the story. It is used to analyze the major parts of a plot.
PARTS OF A PLOT
a. Exposition- the initial part where the characters, setting, and relationships are established
b. Inciting moment- the part which brings about the change or the conflict
c. Rising action- where the conflict and the characters are developed
d. Climax- the highest point of the story where the major events are confronted
e. Falling action- following the climax which lead to the closure
f. Resolution- the conclusion or closure of the story

7. Series of Events Chain- is used to show the logical sequence of events


8. Fishbone Map- it is used to better understand the causal relationship of a complex phenomenon.

9. Cycle- describes how a series of events interact to produce a set of results repeatedly.

10. Persuasion Map-it is used to map out the arguments


and evidence that prove a viewpoint.
