AGREEMENT

During the Cuban Missile crisis, leaders of US. and
Soviet Union have been in tension over the
installation of nuclear armed Soviet Missile on
Cuba, 13 day tension in October 1962, US planned to
use military force if necessary to counteract the
treat. They even get into the brink of nuclear war.
However, the disaster was avoided when Soviet
Union offer to removes missile from Cuba and U.S.
promises not to invade Cuba.
After this situation, Ussr and USA agreed to
establish the hotline between two nation. The
establish of “Hotline” came from the event of
Cuban Missile Crisis, which U.S. and USSR had
come to a moment of nuclear war. Since that
moment, Cuban Missile Crisis of October 1962,
the need of full time communication between
them has been consider significant.
The hotline is use to prevents miss
communication between two nation. Right
now both countries have come to small steps
in reducing tension in both side by agreed to
installed the hotline in Washington and
Moscow.
President Kennedy declared, “This age of fast-
moving events requires quick, dependable
communication in time of emergency.”
After the event, a new way to contact had been
invented. Rather than contact by telegrammed
letters that had to travel overseas, more
advance in technology had invited in a form of
phone. By this changed, they can instantly
contact each other 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week.

Japan Imperial Family and Royal family
of Thailand had a good relationship
since Ayutthaya period. Start from the
end of 18th century, King Chulalongkorn
shared a relic to build a temple in Japan,
as well as golden buddha and money to
build a temple. The temple started
building in 1904 and its still in process.
 The temple was called “Nittaiji Temple”
or “Japan-Thai Temple,” which is the
only Thai temple that exist in Japan’s
history.  
The relationship between Thailand and
Japan expanded into much broader
areas. Not only the relations between
royal family is going well but also the
politics and economic relations as well.
Japan is the trade partner in Thailand,
ranking in first in exports and third in
imports. Japan also the largest foreigner
investor in Thailand too.
To created a strong relationship
between 2 countries. This special visit
to Japan makes relationship between
two monarch stronger. They both have
the same interest in agriculture and
development. Crown Prince Akihito also
said to King Bhumibol that he would
come to visit Thailand in the future.
good opportunity to keeps connection
with Japan. But as we known that Japan
and US had been in tension since world
war ll, we should consider the fact that
US. may sees us as enemy too.
After all, this event would makeThailand
and Japan become a good friends in
both economic term and political term. 

FRANCE
WITHDRAW
FLEET FROM
NATO
UNEXPECTEDLY

France announces that it is
withdrawing its navy from the North
Atlantic fleet of NATO.
The reason why is to maintain the
absolute power over their ships and
navy, they said.
After the brink of nuclear war in 1962,
US and Soviet Union agreed not to use
nuclear inappropriately. The chief
priest of the reliance upon nuclear
weapons said, "in the defence of the
United States itself we will certainly
use nuclear weapons, but to use them
in another situation might prove very
difficult."
This leads to the security of France. If
France can't rely on Nuclear bomb that
protect France territory, then to quit
the navy and leave NATO fleet is the
best choice for them. Because of this,
France decided to quit the fleet and
wish to acquire a bomb for their own
safety. Now, the bomb would be
entirely independent of US control and
totally in the hands of the French.
De Gaulle, leader of France, see his
country as center of power, while
other country facing the stagnation in
economic, he sees France stature and
developing. 
By withdrawing navy from NATO's
military elements and maintaining
independent control of nuclear arms,
de Gaulle believes that France would
have more power in global political
game.
Many NATO members surprise over
French's decision. The advisors of John
F. Kennedy had condemned this action
as they're threatening the security of
the France's European allies.
Moreover, in terms of our country, the
decided of France has an effect on us
indirectly.
After this decision, NATO will have less
allied which mean less strength in
army too. Because the purpose of
NATO is to stop the spread of
communism, if they have more allies
then they have more chance to
success. But as France withdraw their
navy, they loose huge part of their
military force, less strength to stop the
spread of communist. So communism
can be spread further to Thailand and
other country near us too.
DEDICATE WHITE
ELEPHANT AS A
NATIONAL ANIMAL
OF THAILAND.

Department of Forestry chooses
Elephant as a national animal of
Thailand.
By setting up, it would support
tourism in our country and also
reinforce people to come and see
animals that rarely find around the
world, by ordering Department of
Forestry to choose one animal that
would represent the picture of our
country.
At the end, they unanimously
choose white elephant as a national
animal of Thailand. The reasons are
White Elephant is a biggest land
animal which can hardly find all
over the world and they have been
familiar with us for decades. They
also use as a symbol of wisdom in
Asian culture and has a good
reputation for good memory and
intelligence. Moreover, elephant
also used as a part of warfare and
inhere with significant ceremonies
in Thailand. 
After this setting up of national
animal, promoting elephant as a
national animal of Thailand would
make people around the world
recognize elephant as a one of the
significant animal and hopefully
they would attracted tourism to
come and sees them in person.
Thai people would glad that we
finally have a national animal. Also
because we are familiar with
elephants since the start of our
history then after this decision
people would give more attention to
elephant and protect them as a part
of our family.
Elephants have been such a huge
animal that eat tons of food per day
but the forest can't produce such a
product. In the future, there would
be elephant sanctuary that keep
elephant in the safe place and would
 be able to feed them at the same
time.
