Dazed and Mesmerized

A Reflection of The Show: Art In Action

On the 5th of February, I headed out to the Yuchengco Auditorium with my group

of friends, not knowing what to expect. When we arrived, it was dimly lit and with a few

people inside - fellow students awaiting to see what was this “Art in Action”. After

finally waiting, it turned out to be a dance!

At first it showed the basics of dance like ballet steps, hip-hop styles, and such.

But later on, it got more and more enjoyable. The special thing about this dance show

was that with each performance, there was a dialogue. Halfway through the show, it got

interesting because they brought out the AlunAlun Dance Circle. They were showing

Thai-like dances, and let me tell you… I was so amazed! I kept on telling my seatmates

how amazed I was and how mesmerizing their dances were. To me, it was the most

interesting out of all of them because they did it with such grace and flowy, water-like

movements.

All in all, I enjoyed the show thoroughly. First, I got to spend more time with my

friends. Second, shows like these makes you appreciate the art of dance more. Last, it

was a great way to spend my Friday evening. I would usually watch YouTube videos of

dances but this time, I got to see it live!
