Dear Madam/Sir,

I am a PhD in the area of Production and Quantitative Methods at IIM Ahmedabad. My doctoral thesis
answers questions related to the supply chain decisions to be taken by online hyperlocal food service
platforms, both at a strategic and an operational level. I have produced four research papers, out of
which two are under review with top rated journals, and two were accepted to international
conferences. I have also presented two of my research papers in international conferences. The
motivation for pursuing PhD was a deep interest in problem solving. The choice of specialization was
based on my observation that despite strategic decisions being taken in various verticals,
implementation always starts with changes in operations.

Prior to IIM, I received my bachelor’s degree with distinction in Biomedical Engineering from Osmania
University, Hyderabad. After my bachelor’s, I worked for six months in the Transaction Risk Management
vertical of Amazon Development Centre, Hyderabad. My job responsibilities were to conduct fraud
analytics and detection of fraudulent MO (modus operandi). I have handled digital and retail orders over
North America, Europe and UK regions, which have different types of products, different purchase
patterns, customer behaviour and different types of fraudulent activities. This has piqued my interest in
understanding customer behaviour and fraud detection using analytics.

I have experience in working with multi-culture, multi-geographical teams as part of a consulting case
competition. I was teamed with peers working from UK and China to solve a global strategy case
competition conducted by ACN Global network and Questrom Business School, Boston University. I have
also worked on consulting project as part of the Forum of Industrial Interaction, IIM-A, where we
determined the market entry strategy for Amazon into personalized printing in India.

I have received international cultural exposure as part of the youth delegation sent by the Govt. of India
for a Youth Exchange Programme to Maldives. Apart from this, I have also developed a deep
understanding of the cultural differences, and the difference in their business etiquettes, by means of
learning various foreign languages. I am fluent in Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, English, French and Japanese. I
also possess working knowledge of German, Spanish and Korean.

Based on the skills I have acquired through my education and work experience, and most importantly,
my interests, I believe that I am a suitable candidate to work with Deutsche Bank..
Please find attached with this mail, my resume, for your perusal. I also request you to kindly consider my
candidature for a suitable position in Deutsche Bank

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Kavitha Chetana Didugu
