Job Title: Registered nurseⅡ, full time, 48 hours\ week
N.B Now Al-Essra'a hospital going in the process of JCIA .

Unit information:
ICCU department; contain (11) beds CCU ,and ( 9 ) beds ICU- total capacity 20 beds .

Primary staff nurse care provider for different CCU cases:

""Myocardial infarctions, Angina and unstable angina, Pulmonary embolism and DVT,
Pulmonary edema, Congestive Heart failure, Post open heart surgeries (CABGs,
valvoplasty, angioplasty, valve replacement MVR, AVR, VSD and ASD), Post PTCA and
stents, Respiratory distressed cases, Post CPR cases,
• Member in C.P.R team (Traumatic patient, Cardic arrest, Respiratory arrest) Code
blue and Code triage.

Primary staff nurse care provider for different ICU cases:

""Post craniotomy, Multiple fracture, Post partum complications, Postoperative
complications, CVA , TIAs , ARDS, Respiratory failure, Terminal oncology cases,
Hematology disorders, Diabetic and metabolic disorders "DKA" , Post kidney transplantations
cases, Different cases of shock (Anaphylactic, Cardiogenic, Septic…etc), Suicidal attempts .

Duties
• Check the E-cart.
• Participate in the round and discuss the doctor's patient condition such as vital
signs last laboratory results, intake & output chart, medications and any
significant problems for the patient.
• Assist doctors in all procedures such as chest tube insertion, central line insertion,
Arterial line insertion, picc catheter insertion thoracocenthesis, lumber puncture,
bone marrow aspiration, intubation & extubation, bronchoscopy, endoscopy, first
dressing on surgical wounds.
• Deal with ventilators, BiPAP.
• Deal with defibrillator and ECG machine.
• Prepare and administer regular medications.
• Administer chemotherapy over 24 hours and IV push.
• Draw all blood samples centrally and peripherally.
• Draw ABG's.
• Insert peripheral cannulas
• Insertion of Nasogatric & Orogastric tubes, folly catheter and hupper needle of
portcath.
• Care of ETT, Trachestomy& suctioning.
• Deal with abdominal drains, chest tubes with -ve suction, redivace drains and
EVD drains .
• Transfuse PRBC's, platelets, FFP, Cryoprecipitate and granulocytes.
• Positioning of the patients.
• Deal with isolation precautions (contact, protective, air porn and body fluid
precautions).
• Prepare all types of feeding.
• Infuse TPN.
• Care of bedsores.
