Reflection

In the final quarter, we were assigned to create the newspaper of the important
situation that occurred during a specific year. In each class, we had to follow the plan that
our teacher created for us. I think that helped a lot to keep me on track because I know
what to do in each class. First of all, I decided the year that I am interested in and I chose to
research about 1962. Then, we had to find the events in both domestic and international.
After that, we researched about the main idea of the event we chose. Therefore, we can put
those information into the draft easily. We also had to find the pictures, the map, and the
quotes that related to what we researched. Also, we had to do the APA for the sources that
we went on for research. When we already collected all of the information, then we arrange
it into the newspaper form. Finally, print it out in the A3 paper.

While I was doing this project, I learned a lot of something new and gained new
knowledge especially, the important events that occurred inside and outside Thailand
during 1962. I was interested in the Khao Pra Viharn which is the issue between Thai and
Cambodia. I knew that both countries were fighting for the temple but I did not know the
whole story. Now, I know a lot more for example, the causes, the map, the effects, and
some prediction about how people felt. Also, I learned to use some skills for this project. For
example, time management, analysis, writing skill, and researching. I had to have a lot of
responsibility to finish the project. I always remind myself that the teacher gave me the
direction and I have to finish it each day and If I do cannot so I have to spend time after
school for this work, or else, I will be off task and have to catch up in another day.

There are something I did well and not well. I think I can manage time to finish the
project on time well and I fix the mistakes immediately so I do not forget it. The things that I
did not do well is I took a lot of time to read the information and sometimes I did not get the
main idea from the website I searched. Another thing is I was not careful enough. I always
forgot to add some information and I always have to come back and fix it later for example,
the quotes, the city where the newspaper published, and references. To improve, I have to
focus a lot more on reading the information because it might be important. If I stuck, I
should ask the teacher immediately so I did not waste my time. Also, to search on more
different website so I get more view point of information. I have to be more careful and
focus so that I work more efficiently.
