The cutting edge

technology for infection
control of Equine foot
Equine feet is under stress all the time by the challenges from the environment. Unless an
animal is stressed for survival, there can be scope for little improvement. The feet of Horses
have evolved over several millennia. However due to domestication, inbreeding and other
factors feet can get infected leading to various conditions and this is common. It is an everyday
observation to see in any Horse establishment a set of lame horses due to infective conditions.

Introducing SURESHOT - EQ.

The new cutting edge technology developed
to address this common problem
It is based on Chlorine Dioxide. This is NOT CHLORINE but Chlorine Di oxide.

Foot infections are a major cause of concern in performance Horses. The infections might lead
to performance limiting or even life threatening.

Condition where Sureshot-EQ can be employed: Foot abscess after and during drainage, White
line disease, Onychomycosis or fungal infection of the feet, Thrush, Canker, Chronic laminitis
leading to recurrent foot abscesses, osteomyelitis of the pedal bone with infection etc.

Advantages: Its microbe specific, harmless to mammalian cells, works in all pH, bio friendly
and non-toxic.

SUREHOT EQ is supplied with an activator Boot (AB) and two sachets for
the foot soak. Once the sachet is activated in the activator boot (AB)
with 500 ml clean water; Chlorine Di Oxide is released. The release of
Chlorine Di Oxide is in a sustained manner over the next 4 hours. We
recommend a one-hour contact soak time (CST). Once mixed in the
AB, the system is ready to soak four feet over 4-hour period. The user
can use on four different feet using only one SUESHOT EQ sachet. As
per the WHO notifications Chlorine Di Oxide is one of ideal
disinfectants, is now even used in drinking water sources in the US and
Europe.
Before and after images of clinical cases using SURESHOT-EQ

A Thoroughbred gelding with severe infection involving pedal bone. The bone fragment was removed and the wound
was soaked in Sureshot for Five weeks. Routine banging techniques was done to prevent gross contamination.

White line disease leading to very brittle hoof: 3-year-old Thoroughbred colt with brittle hooves with a history of intermittent
lameness. 4 weeks of routine soaks with SURESHOT-EQ as the primary treatment has resulted in nailable hooves.

Chronic Laminitis with dorsal resection of the WLD- White line disease. The same foot after the first soak cycle for 60
minutes.
Advantages of Sureshot – EQ
Acts on Biofilms. No antibacterial is known to act on the Biofilms

Functions within a wide range of pH. The range is 5 up to 10

Ease of usage – one-hour contact time can be effectively spent attending to other chores at the
stable

Sureshot is specific to microbes and is harmless to Human and other animal tissues

Since the mode of action is absolute oxidation there are no chances for resistance formation

Among all the dressing agent Sureshot-EQ is the only agent known to be sporicidal, killing even
the fungal spores

Since the resultant medication is in the gaseous form, the upward traversing through the
infected tracts is easily archived by the micro molecules of gas; than any liquid/powder based
conventional dressings.

Bio friendly. After the complete

oxidation of the microbes, the
substance gets to an inert state
resulting in common salt and
water as the end products

The Sureshot- EQ boots are

made of special MILITARY
GRADE MATERIAL thus can
withstand regular use and
abuse

The tough boots can be used

for icing the foot, also to hot
poultice feet

One sachet will deal with 4

cases or four different feet. The validity of Sureshot-EQ is four hours once the process is
initiated. Its highly cost effective, one Sachet dealing with four legs.
