Course Objectives: This course extends studies in hand-drawn animation and introduces studies in stop-motion, under-the-camera animation, and
other alternative techniques. Students are encouraged to explore and extend on the demonstrated techniques with a view to increased creativity and
application of imagination. This course introduces students to a selection of experimental and alternative animation mediums, including stop motion
and other under-camera techniques. Students are encouraged to explore and extend on the demonstrated techniques, with a view to increase
creativity and application of imagination.

Prerequisites:
The student should have knowledge about digital editing softwares.

Student Learning Outcomes:

The following course will help students in the following areas:.

Describe the use of different software’s and techniques are required for making digital animation and computer graphics.
Discuss the principles of animation to create a traditional and digital tools to produce moving images.
Explain students to focus on the contributions that sound makes to the creation of meaning in film and video. Students proceed
from the critical analysis of soundtracks to the production of a short soundscape and finally to the design, recording, track lay and
mixdown of a short video soundtrack.
Experimental and produce work with various medium like Cut-out animation (cardboard sets, houses, layouts designing) clay
animation, flip books, stop motion technique.

(EXERCISES ON: The students have to make 10 seconds of Animation in 2D )

Pedagogy for Course Delivery:


The Animation class having split into two with lecture and followed by demonstration. The classes will also have a lot of practical
exercises to understand the various techniques and practically apply them.
