• Philosophy and educational and behavioural policies:

Mision: To bring up unabridged students with a vision of the future.

Commitment: To be leaders in education giving a high quality service

with the everybody’s commitmet.

1.- The specific aim for each level is to develop capacities and Skills in
the social field giving emphasis to the affective, conceptual and
procedural command. Using the deductive and inductive method,
according to the cognitive development of the student.

2.- The results are observed in the student’s behavioral improvement

understanding such academic attitude and valuation to ethical and
moral aspects of the human being .

3.- The behaviour in classroom will be evaluated by observation,

following two indicators : Do not interrup the classes’ development and
to obey the teacher’s indications.

2. The classroom

Describe the atmosphere of the room and the levels of engagement in

the room. Make notes on seating, sight lines, space, air, light,
whiteboard, equipment, etc

The atmosphere in the room is good, the teacher can do classes and
encourage students to participate in the development of the classes.
There is an affable environment in the room that makes so much easy to
teach. Unfortunatelly there are three or four students that do not pay
attention and they are always talking. The teacher has to call the
attention every minute.

The space in the room is not the most appropiate, due to the fact that
there are a lot of students and seats. The tables are big enough for the
students but they are very closed one to the other so they are a little
tight. The space could be used in a better way because the students are
seating in the extreme right and left but not in the middle.

The students can not see very well the whiteboard, because of the light
which comes from the windows, which do not have curtains. However
there is a good airing so the students are not sleepy during the class.

There are not equipments provided for the school, there is no radio and
the proyector is bad, however the teacher uses her personal computer in
order to do some activities.

3. The activities & resources

a) Make notes on the kind of activities used, the nature of
student involvement, balance of student doing things and
teacher doing things

The activities are very good, they do listening activities , where they
must do the same as a teacher should do, with a song activity.

They actually do the book’s activities and everybody has to

participate reading the instrucctions.

Apart form the book activities they are given extra material in order
to reinforce the content.

b) Describe the resources used and the materials available

within the school. How are the resources used in the
classroom?

The teacher uses her computer for doing the listening activities, but it
is almost impossible to use the proyector owing to the fact that it is
not in a good shape and the room’s light is not the most appropiate.

I Know that there is computation’s room , but it is not big enough for
the whole group so they never go.

In the library there is no material available for the students, they just
have the books which are given by the goverment and they are old,
and it is almost impossible to work there because everything is
untidy.

Some students bring their dicctionary, but the majority of them have
to ask to the teacher or me for the meaning of some words.

Task 2: Student´s learning

In this second observation task, you should focus on the things that help
to create conditions for effective learning and on the aspects that play
a part in preventing learning.

1. The learners
How motivated are the learners? Why? To what extent are they
taking part in their own learning? To what extent are they
expecting the teacher to do the work for them?

Fortunately the majority of the students are motivated, some of

them know english, so they do not need to be so focused in the
class, although they do. The group is quite good, but there are
students who are hyperactive so they are talking, but the teacher
makes to participate so they obey.

The teacher motivates the students asking, all the time things
related to the topic, make them to do activities with the students’
interests and she in general has a good treat, so they do not feel
fear of participating.

The students are talking all the time but, they know that they must
pay attention, and do the tasks and they do. I have observed that
they like to learn and when they are congratulated they feel glad.
The pupils do not expect to be done the work for them, they work
alone, although sometimes they ask for some vocabulary, but not
all of them and not all the time.

This group of class is a good group due to the fact that they have
good grades and some students who used to have bad behaviour
have changed this year, being more cooperative and studious.

2. Behaviour during classroom activities

Describe the ways students are encouraged to participate in

activities. Are there any particular strategies for managing issues
and motivating students? Are there any students with special
needs?

They are encouraged to participate in classes throught questions

and reading aloud, and aswer in the whiteboard, so they have to
pay attention all the time.

The strategies that the teacher has is to monitorate if the students

are doing the activities, some of them are very clever and do the
tasks imediately so the teacher writes a ticket and note in their
copybooks, that they did a good job, so probably with this they feel
more motivated. In general is a group that they like to learn
english.

In the class there are four students with special needs, but just
one stay in the class, he is autistic, however he is able to
participate and do the tasks, specially the written, and he does it
very well , he is respectful with his classmates and teacher and the
rest of the class do the same, they respect them.

3. Discuss the learning styles and levels of English in the

classroom.

I really enjoy the learning style eventhough there is not the

possibility to have more modern and techonological equipment for
teaching, but the teacher manages to prepare materials that help
students to learn. The level of English in the classroom is good, I must
say that they understand when they are spoken in English, eventhough
some of them aswer in spanish.

Please do not use names or anything that can be offensive to the school, teachers or
University.
