Teaching Philosophy

As a teacher, my professional goal is to instill in my students a love of learning that
paisley.newburn@gmail.com extends beyond the classroom and enables them to realize their full potential as
critical thinkers and change-makers. The key to engaging students lies in designing
activities and learning tasks that are creative and authentic while providing differentiated
Calgary AB, Canada instruction that allows every student to be successful. Finally, I believe that balanced,
student-centered assessment is the key to equipping students with the tools to
understand themselves as learners, and advocate for their learning.
