Replacement Sinking Fund Proposal
‘The replacement sinking fund proposal that will be
on the August 7, 2018 ballot is for a duration of
five years at a rate of 1.4 mills (which equates to a
cost of $70.00 annually for a house valued at
$100,000), The 1.4 mills proposal was generated
from a five-year projection for necessary building
updates, replacement of technology, and uparades
to school security.
Anticipated Projects (2019-2024):
Physical plant security updates including increased
surveillance equipment for the safety of students
and staff
Annual purchase of computers needed to maintain
the 4-6 year classroom rotations
Replace Gaylord High School and Early Childhood
Center heating systems
Upgrade external doors at all buildings
Replace Gaylord Intermediate School bleachers
Update exterior of buildings (including fascia and
bricks)
Complete district-wide LED lighting switchover
Replace classroom carpeting
Replace classroom data projectors and document
cameras as needed in all buildings
