HAVE GOT / HAVE

PRACTICE:

1. Describe your bedroom: what you have/ have got in your room. Then mention what
you don´t have/ haven´t got and how much/how many.
EXAMPLE:

(American) I have a radio on my bed, but I do not have a Tv in my bedroom.

(British) I have got a radio on my bed but I haven´t got a Tv in my bedroom.

1 (American) I have a cell phone in my bed, but I do not have a computer in my room

(British) I have got a cell phone in my bed, but I haven´t got a computer in my room

2 (American) I have a bed in my room, but I do not have a speaker in my bedroom

(British) I have got a bed in my room, but I haven´t got a speaker in my bedroom

3 (American) I have a wardrobe in my room, but I do not have two keyboards in my room

(British) I have got a wardrobe in my room, but I haven´t got two keyboards in my room

4 (American) I have a tv in my room, but I do not have five tables in my room

(British) I have got a tv in my room, but I haven´t got five tables in my room

5 (American) I have an armchair in my room, but I do not have a photograph in my room

(British) I have got an armchair in my room, but I haven´t got a photograph in my bedroom

2. Look at the picture below and describe what this person has/has got in his or her
room. Then mention what she doesn´t have/ hasn´t got and how much or how many
and where.

Example:

(American) She has a lot of CDs in her room near the tv, but She does not have a radio in
her bedroom.

(British) She has got a lot of CDs in her room near the tv, but She hasn´t got a radio in
her bedroom.

1 (American) He has pictures on the wall, but he does not have a sofa in his bedroom

(British) He has got pictures on the wall, but he hasn´t got a sofa in his bedroom

2 (American) He has a lamp on his desk, but he does not have a chair in his bedroom
(British) He has got a lamp on his desk, but he hasn´t got a chair in his bedroom

3 (American) he has books in his librarian, but he does not have a radio in his bedroom

(British) he has got books in his librarian, but he hasn´t got a radio in his bedroom

4 (American) has two speakers in your librarian, but does not have a table in your bedroom

(British) has two got speakers in your librarian, but hasn´t got a table in your bedroom

5 (American) he has a sheet in his bed, but he does not have a tv in his bedroom

(British) he has got a sheet in his bed, but he hasn´t got a tv in his bedroom
