I ndian lime market is one of the fastest developing market and all
the stake holders throughout the world are eager to participate in this growth.
Demand for lime is projected to increase significantly in the next few years owing to the rise in
demand for lime in chemical intermediated segment as well as due to revival of Indian steel industry. In
recent times Lime manufacturers and Lime related industries in India are witnessing rapid change in
technology and usage.
Bharat Lime Association (BhLA) is happy to announce organizing International Conference LimeCon
2018 as an attempt to have all the technologists associated with lime and calcined dolo plant and
equipment’s suppliers and consumers under one roof for the purpose of knowledge sharing.
LimeCon2018 is intended to discuss regarding Technological Development of Lime Industry and
related matters, with a specific focus on Digitalization of the plants and services for mutual benefit of all
concerned.

n About Organiser
Bharat Lime Association (BhLA) was formed solely
a) To promote, particularly in India, the advancement of the knowledge of limestone, dolomite stone,
lime and calcined dolomite related products among its existing and prospective members and also
bring into contact those engaged in these pursuits with a view to develop a synergy among them
particularly the industry, the professionals, the academia and R & D Institutions.
b) To receive, edit, publish and distribute papers, periodicals or journals, books and hold
Conferences, Meetings, Symposia, Colloquia, Workshops on relevant themes and subjects and to set
up Libraries as and where convenient and also to exchange journal and other publications with similar
materials published elsewhere and to establish interrelationship in mutual interest with similar bodies in
different parts of the world.
c) To confer awards, medals and other distinctions on members in recognition of excellence
attained in related subjects and to help establishment of zonal centers and local chapters and regulate
activities thereof and modify or abolish them whenever considered necessary.

n Call for Papers
T echnical papers for oral presentation relevant to the theme of the seminar are invited for presentation in the conference
broadly on latest developments in manufacturing and testing, R&D, Product Development, Environmental issues &
digitalization of the plants for Lime and Dolo Industries. Each oral presentation will be for about 15 minutes only. Those who
propose to present papers are requested to e-mail the title and abstract (in about 200 words, typed in double space) to The
Organizing Secretary, LimeCon2018 by 15th May, 2018 at bharatlime@bharatlime.org The abstracts will be subjected to
primary screening by an Expert Committee. Their decision regarding acceptance or otherwise will be communicated to the
respective authors in due course.
The authors may kindly note that the submission of complete texts of the papers is the prerequisite for acceptance of
papers for presentation. Accordingly, the full text of the paper should be submitted to The Organizing Secretary,
LimeCon2018 by 5th June, 2018 at the latest.

A n exposition is being organized alongside the Conference. It will showcase new technologies, processes & products
and in turn enhance business. This will be held near the conference venue and will give a ready glimpse of latest
products and development in the lime, limestone and dolomite field in India and abroad.
Place with panel will be provided to display products, charts, banners, posters, photographs etc. The exposition stall
should be ready by 9am on 27th June, 2018. Space is limited and so exhibitors are requested to confirm participation and
book the stall as early as possible in 'first come first served' basis. The discretion of LimeCon2018 organizing committee is
final in this respect.
