Competence to develop:
Build a text that accounts for work produced with the support of the E-
Tutor and e-students. Through this exercise, the student will e-
recognition and ownership of the contents of the units, their
environment and the context to express themselves according to their
level.

I. PHASE ONE
A. Introduce yourself and select role: Each student will share IN
ENGLISH the following information on complete sentences (Name,
age, address, phone number and occupation). Also, he/she will

D. Planning the letter to your mother: You will write a letter to


your mother describing what your life is like after two months of
moving with your husband/wife/partner to a different country.
You will include description of the city, description of daily routine
and description of a picture you sent.

I tell you that, Medellín city is a cozy place. It is named the mountain’s city, there are
enough trees. This city is developing a solid economy, There are a number of
companies there. The kids are playing in the parks every afternoon. People are working
and studying from Monday to Friday and are resting on weekends at home.
The buildings are very beautiful, there are in these much offices, where professional
people are working. In this city the climate is warm. People are transporting daily in the
city by bicycle, meter, car, bus and on foot, there are several options.

The apartment where we live is a very beautiful and cozy duplex, the second level there are
two large rooms and there are two large beds, the main room has a private bathroom and
outside the rooms there is another bathroom. On the first level there is a beautiful kitchen, in
which there is a small refrigerator and a kitchen with an oven, there is an open concept dining
room, in the there is a jug and many lamps, a laundry room and a bay window, as you can see
in the image.
ACTIONS TO DESCRIBE DAILY ROUTINE
On weekdays we always get up at 5:00 am in the morning, because we usually go to do some
exercise in the park before taking breakfast. At 6:00 am we take breakfast and then we take a
shower, my partner goes to work at 7:30 in the morning, he often goes in his car, but
sometimes he has to go on bus. I go to work at 8:00 am because I work in a place that is close
to my house. We work all morning, but I work until 1:00 pm and my partner works until 12:30.
He likes cooking lunch for both of us, we have lunch at about 1:10 pm, then we brush our
teeth and my partner goes to work again, in the afternoon I work at home. At night, I prepare
dinner, we have dinner at about 7.30 pm and we usually watch TV at nights. On weekends we
don't work, so we take care of our house, like doing the laundry, and cleaning the house. On
sundays we like going out or traveling to near places to visit.

E. Drafting: After having decided about the city, the pictures and
the actions, the group will start writing the letter that will be
divided into paragraphs:
