Hand Arm Vibration
Cast-in channels provide safe, secure fixings
into concrete without the need for drilling,
helping specifiers and contractors meet their
responsibilities under the new Control of
Vibration at Work Regulations (effective
July 2005).
The regulations define the minimum health
and safety requirements regarding exposure of
workers to vibration risk, and are aimed at
minimising the effects of Hand Arm Vibration
and in particular, Vibration White Finger - the
most commonly prescribed disease within the
construction industry under the Industrial
Injuries scheme.

Cast-in channels are a long established
method of fixing to concrete which completely
avoids the risks of vibration associated with
other methods such as drilled fixings, and also
has the benefits of no noise or dust being
created on-site.
