Dear Candidate,

1. Please refer your application for the above mentioned course.

2. You are requested to report at Dehradun Railway Station at 0630 h (Morning) on the date selected by you/allotted to
you on www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. For the selection of above mentioned course, a representative of this Board in Air Force
uniform will receive you at Dehradun Railway Station near the MCO and will escort you to this Board.

3. You should satisfy all eligibility criteria as mentioned in the advertisement for the said entry. If you do not meet the
eligibility as per advertisement in employment news or you are not in possession of necessary documents (Listed in para 4 below),
you will not be accepted for tests and will be routed back without travelling allowance.

4. You must bring with you the following documents IN ORIGINAL along with 02 Photo copies of the same.

(a) Matriculation /10th Passing certificate and Marks sheet in Original issued by the state/CBSE/ICSE/University as
proof of Date of Birth. Other documents such as admit cards/Transfer Certificates etc will not be accepted as proof of
date of birth.
(b) 12th Class Passing certificate and Marks sheet.
(c) NCC ‘C’ Certificate (If applicable)
(d) Admit Card and Call Letter (In original)
(e) Valid Photo Identity Card of your School/College/ Driving License/Passport/Voter Identity Card/Aadhar Card.
(f) 25 recent coloured photographs.
(g) Name and complete postal address of two trustworthy person/Gazetted Officer (Not a relative) who should know
you and vouch for your character and antecedents.

Note: (In case candidate is appearing for class 12th he should bring a certificate from the Principal of their
School/College/Institute stating that “The candidate is a bonafide students of 12 th class in the School/College/Institute with
following subjects ……….and his result will be declared on or before 24 Dec 18”. In such case, you will be required to submit
original certificate and marks sheet to Rtg Dte (NDA ENTRY) Army HQ latest by 24 Dec 18.

5. You should also be in possession of the following:

(a) Railway ticket/Bus ticket (for payment of travelling allowances). No travel allowance will be paid without hard
copy of the journey ticket.

(b) If candidate is above 18 years of age, Indemnity Bond certificate duly filled and signed by the Candidate along
with a witness of above 18 years of age. If below 18 years of age, then the same should be signed by the Legal/Natural
guardian (Father/Mother) along with a witness of above 18 years of age.

Note: Candidates below 18 years of age without proper Indemnity Bond (annexed along with this call letter) will
be routed back.

(c) One pair of white shirt, shorts/track suit, socks and a pair of sports shoes. Atleast one pair of formal dress and
shoes for interview purpose. Bring clothing requirements for six days, as per weather conditions.

6. You are advised to plan your arrival well in time catering for the late arrival of trains/Buses in this zone (late comers shall
not be accepted).

7. Local Candidates of Dehradun to contact 1AFSB before reporting for selection, their SSB testing will be conducted at 4
AFSB, Varanasi.

8. Candidates with present back log in class XII need not report as they will be routed back without testing.

9. Mobile phones/other electronic gadgets (Tabs/ Laptops/Cameras external HDD/IPods/Pen Drives etc.) are strictly
prohibited.
10. You are requested to withhold your move in case you have a relative at this Board and intimate to this Board immediately
the particulars of the person concerned and wait for further instructions. Any attempts made by candidates, their relations or friends
to influence the members of Air Force Selection Board in their favour either verbally or in writing will result in his name being
removed from the list of candidates. In all matters of discipline, the decision of President 1 AFSB will be final and no appeal
against his decision will be entertained.

11. Recommended candidates will be required to proceed for medical examination for duration of 04-07 days at AFCME,
New Delhi/ SSC Bhopal just after selection process.

12. The TA for your journey will be paid in your bank account only through NEFT/RTGS therefore you have to bring
a cancelled cheque/Xerox copy of bank passbook in support of your bank details.

 GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR NDA CANDIDATES

1. Reporting. The Call Letter along with your Admit Card/Photo ID Proof would be the
authority for you to report to the nominated Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) for testing. The
same is to be handed over to the Board on arrival. You must report for the interview on the date
and time as specified in the Call Letter. Late comers, on any account (inclusive of late running of
trains) will not be admitted for tests. A representative in Air Force uniform will meet you at the
Railway Station and escort you to the AFSB.

2. Boarding and lodging. Free boarding and lodging will be provided during your
stay at the Board during the period of testing. Those candidates who arrive before the date and
time indicated in the call letter will have to make their own arrangements. Parents/ guardians
accompanying the candidates will have to make their own arrangements.

3. Selection Procedure. The testing schedule is in two phases and normally for a period
of six days depending upon contingencies and will be as follows:-

4. Documents. You are required to bring the following relevant documents for
verification:-

(a) Original UPSC Admit Card and Call letter.

(b) Original Matriculation/ Secondary School Certificate and Marks sheets issued by
CBSE/ICSE/State Board. No other certificate will be accepted for verification of Date of
Birth.

(c) Original Marks Sheet & Certificate of 10+02 (issued by the relevant Board).

(d) In case of 12th appearing students, a certificate from the college Principal, clearly
mentioning the following aspects annotated with proper stamp and seal of the institution
is required:-

(i) Name of the School/ Institute.

(ii) Name of the Board.
 (iii) Whether studying Maths and Physics in 12th class.
(iv) Likely date of Declaration of Final Result (in DD/MM/YYYY format).

(e) Two attested photocopies of each of the above mentioned certificates.

(f) Hard copy of inbound Railway Ticket/ Bus Tickets. (For refund of Travelling
Allowances).

(g) Photo Identity Card i.e. College ID (valid only for appearing candidates)/ Driving
License/ Passport/ Voter Identity Card/ PAN card/ Aadhar card as proof of identity. You
should also to bring a visible photo copy of the same Photo Identity Card.

Note 1:- Candidates not in possession of the above documents or those who do not
meet the eligibility conditions, should not report to the AFSB, as they will not be
accepted for the tests and will be routed back without travelling allowances.

Note 2:- Candidates are also advised to bring twenty five copies of recent passport size
colour photographs taken in light coloured clothes against white background for documentation.

5. Requisites. You are advised to bring the following items:

(a) One pair of White Shirt/ T-Shirt, Shorts/ Trousers/ Track Suit/ Socks and a pair of
white sports shoes.

(b) Adequate writing material (Pens and lead pencils).

(c) Clothing, according to season.

(d) Medium size locks to safeguard your personal luggage.

(e) Two pairs of formal dresses for mess premises and interview.

6. Traveling Allowance (TA). Traveling Allowance by the shortest route for AC Three
Tier, to and from for the journey from the place of Call Up or departure (whichever is nearer) is
admissible. Change of address, if any, must be intimated to the Board well before your arrival.
You shall furnish the hard copy of railway ticket/ bus ticket to the Board, failing which no TA will
be paid. For all other modes of travel, TA will be admissible as per the government authorized
rules. No TA is admissible, if you have already appeared for the same type of entry at any
of the Selection Boards.

7. Medical Examination. Recommended candidates will be given suitable medical

dates for their medical exam at Air Force Central Medial Establishment, New Delhi or Institute
of Aerospace Medicine, Bangalore for medical examination for duration of four to seven days. It
may be noted that the Air Force Medical Board/ Service Medical Board is the final authority
while deciding the medical fitness for joining the Indian Air Force. You are advised to see the
details about Medical Standards on our website, www.careerindianairforce.cdac.in.

8. Discipline. Your conduct and behavior during your stay at the Board is expected to
be disciplined and orderly. Any act of indiscipline or misconduct will lead to cancellation of your
candidature. In all matters pertaining to indiscipline and/ or misconduct, the decision of the
President of the Board shall be final and no appeal against his decision will be entertained.
Should you try and influence any member of the Board directly, your candidature will be
cancelled.

9. General. No facility exists at AFSBs for safe custody of cash and valuables.
Therefore, do not bring any valuables or excess money. Candidates are not permitted to
carry their mobile phones, laptops or cameras inside the Selection Board premises.
10. Warning. You should withhold your move, in case you have a relative, who is a
member of the Board. Inform us the particulars of the person concerned immediately and await
further instructions.

11. All correspondence with regard to this Call Letter should be addressed to the President
of the Board giving full details, including Course, Date of Reporting etc.

Note:- These instructions are general in nature. The instructions contained in the
Advertisement for your course and Call Letter will be binding in determining your candidature for
test and interview. In all matters, the decision of Air Force authority shall be final.
