Section 1: Overview
This document outlines the requirements for browsers that are certified for use with Oracle E-Business Suite
R12.

Browsers may require specific patches for compatibility with Oracle E-Business Suite. Such patches are
backwards compatible with earlier browser releases. For example, after installing the required Internet Explorer
11 patches you will still be able to access your environment using earlier Internet Explorer versions as well as
alternative browsers.

Section 2: Internet Explorer (IE) for Windows Users

Internet Explorer: Certification Matrices
Internet Explorer: Prerequisite Patch Requirements
Internet Explorer: Recommended Browser Settings
Internet Explorer: Importing an SSL Certificate

Internet Explorer Lifecycle Support

From January 12th 2016 Microsoft only offer support for the latest version of IE that is available for each
operating system as listed below.

Windows 10, Windows 8.1 & Windows 7 users will require Internet Explorer 11
Windows Vista users will require Internet Explorer 9

As Oracle's support of 3rd party applications aligns with the vendors, Oracle E-Business Suite users
running Internet Explorer are also advised to move to the recommended version for their operating
system.

What are the EBS support implications of staying on an older IE version?

You will continue to have access to existing EBS patches and documentation for older IE releases via My
Oracle Support.

Oracle may attempt to assist with questions about older IE releases. Oracle's ability to assist may be
limited by lack of access to desktops running those older releases.
